If you are a language teacher working abroad this single-page Powerpoint presentation will allow you to have an interesting conversation class, although if you don't do it with grace you will lose a few students for sure.
Just change Tyranistan for the name of the country you are working in, write down the topics you want to talk about and rate each topic according to your opinion.
Run the presentation and ask a random student to choose a topic to discuss; then click on that topic's thermometer so your rating will be disclosed to your students. The debate is served.
If the class finishes before you have time to tackle every topic in your list, you can just show them your ratings for the remaining topics and end the class without any further explanation. That way you will get them thinking all night long.
